Keyframes
In a digital animation video, keyframes are anchor points for different action sequences.
Add keyframes in Rocketium
Double-click on a layer to add a keyframe for that layer.
The keyframe shows up as a diamond-shaped icon on the timeline view of the layer and can be edited from the animate tab on the right-hand side.
Keyframe properties
Position: Position is a parameter which uses the X and Y coordinates to determine the position of the object on the canvas.
Scale: Scale determines the ratio of the object's animation to its actual size
Opacity: Opacity is a visual property that controls how transparent or opaque an element appears.
Rotate: Rotation changes the orientation of an object at a specific time during the animation
Easing: Easing is an animation transition method that modifies motion to make it less abrupt and more gradual
Example of animations with keyframe
Here we have created an animation of an orange jumping up and down.
The Y coordinate of every alternate key frame varies from (50) to (125) to create the jumping effect.
Similarly the opacity alternates between (20) & (100)
Save animations
1. To save an animation, select some (or all) keyframes and click on the save icon
2. Add a name for your animation and click confirm
To apply the saved animation to a layer, navigate to the animations tab, hover over the saved animation and click Apply.
Text animations
To apply text animations to a (text) layer, click on the Text animations tab, click + and select from the library of text animations presented to you.
